Using insurance for your visits and your lab tests
Visits to an M.D. are reimbursable by insurance if you have a PPO plan. We can provide you with superbills to bill your insurance company. Reimbursement is based on the terms and conditions of your plan for out-of-network providers. Lab tests and imaging studies ordered by an M.D. are normally approved and covered by PPO insurance and Medicare. Labs by non-M.D.s are not usually covered, which might require you to pay more out of pocket.
